The Mark St. Amant murder case is deferred once again as October 18th is set for his next court date.
The Britt-Byng Inlet man is charged with 2nd-degree murder and indignity to a dead body in the death of Amanda McClaskin in August 2018.
McClaskin, also from Britt-Byng, went missing after leaving her home in mid-August. Her body was found shortly afterward by police off Lake Joseph Road in Muskoka Lakes Township.
In addition to those charges, St. Amant has now also been charged with breach of probation. His defence lawyer says she plans a motion to have that charge waived.
The accused will be back via video feed for a fourth-time in Parry Sound’s Superior court at noon.
The new court date was set to allow St. Amant’s lawyer time to review disclosure.
As yet, no plea has been entered.
