Two drivers will have their day in court after being charged in Seguin Township in two unrelated cases.
On Monday, October 8th, West Parry Sound OPP was notified about a suspected drunk driver on Oastler Park Dr.
After speaking with police, a 34-year-old West Nipissing man was charged with driving with over 80mgs blood alcohol.
He was released and will be in Parry Sound court November 1st.
In a separate incident on Saturday, October 6th, police patrolling HWY 400 in Seguin clocked a car going 50 km/h over the speed limit and charged a 24-year-old London, Ontario man with Stunt Driving. He was also charged with driving with open liquor in the car.
In addition to those charges, the driver’s licence was suspended and the car he was driving impounded, both for seven days.
He’ll be in Parry Sound court November 20th.
The OPP would like to remind motorists that there is no safe amount of drug or alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver that is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
