An application by Lakeland Power Distribution Ltd. means lower electrical bills for its Parry Sound customers.
Lakeland Power’s Chief Financial Officer Margaret Maw says both business and residents will benefit from the application the company has put before the Ontario Energy Board.
If approved, the move will harmonize the old Parry Sound Power Corporation rates with Lakeland’s current rate structure.
For the average Parry Sound home, that means a savings of approximately $7.00 a month and for small business, $10.00 a month.
The Ontario Energy Board will hold a public meeting in Parry Sound to review and get public input on the rate changes proposed in Lakeland’s Application.
The meeting will take place at the Charles W. Stockey Centre – Prelude Room, 2 Bay Street on Wednesday, November 28th between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
Doors open at 1:00 pm.
