It’s either a great sign of things to come or a stark reality check.
The Parry Sound region got its first real snowfall Saturday morning and if you’re a snowmobiler or skier, that’s something to cheer about.
If not, maybe not so much.
Although the region’s snow squall warning has been lifted by Environment Canada, the area is still expected to get between 10 and 15 centmetres of snow by the end of the weekend.
As well, 40 km/h wind gusts and overnight temperatures dipping to minus 12C degrees feeling like minus 15C degrees will add the chill to winter’s early arrival.
The snow and cooler temperatures are forecast to continue to least Thursday.
