Services marking Remembrance Day and the 100th anniversary of the Armistice drew a large crowd at Parry Sound’s cenotaph Sunday.

The event in Market Square Sunday morning, drew hundreds of youth and adults alike including members of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets 295 MacPherson Squadron, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 117, local police, fire, EMS, and members of the RCMP.

Local politicians were represented by Parry Sound area mayors including Parry Sound mayor, Jamie McGarvey.

This year’s Remembrance Day also observed the 100th anniversary of the Armistice ending World War I.
