All eyes were on Parry Sound’s iconic trestle bridge as the CP Holiday Train rolled into town on Friday.

In its 20th year, the Holiday Train is actually two trains. One that follows an American route and one that travels across Canada.

Both are riding the rails collecting donations for food banks right across the country.

Since 1999, the train has collected more than $14.5 million and collected more than 4.3 million pounds of food.

On board this year are singers Terri Clark, Sierra Noble, and Kelly Prescott, each giving audiences a performance at every stop.

Before arriving in Parry Sound, the Holiday Train stopped in Mactier.

After meeting a huge crowd at old CPR Festival Station, it was off to Shawanaga.

The Canadian train left Montreal on November 27th and will end its journey in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia on December 18th.
