There’s one more event to celebrate the New Year in case you miss that big New Year’s Eve bash.

Parry Sound Mayor Jamie McGarvey will be hosting the annual Mayor’s New Year’s Levee at the Bobby Orr Community Centre.

The yearly meet and greet is your chance to get together with neighbours, local politicians, and officials.

Highlighting the event will be the presentation of the 2018 Order of Parry Sound by Mayor McGarvey.

The Order of Parry Sound is awarded to someone selected from a list of nominees, who has enriched the lives of others in the community.

Last year’s recipient was Parry Sound High School teacher Rick Lund for his work on the Community Remembrance Project.

The Levee takes place on Sunday, January 6th, 2019 at the BOCC at 7-17 Mary Street in Parry Sound between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm.

All are welcome.
