A West Parry Sound OPP RIDE spot check has a suspected drunk driver left without his driver’s licence.

Police say they were conducting a Reduced Impaired Driving  Everywhere program on Pickerel Road in Henvey Inlet First Nation Saturday night when a vehicle approached the spot check just before midnight.

Police report at that time they determined the driver was driving while impaired.

Charged with driving while impaired by drugs and alcohol, driving while impaired with over 80mg blood/alcohol, driving with cannabis readily available, and being in possession of more than one licence is 57-year-old Raymond Kagagins of  Henvey Inlet First Nation.

It was the sixth impaired driving arrest for the West Parry Sound OPP in 2019.

Kagagins driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the car he was driving impounded for seven days.

He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to be in Parry Sound court on February 28th.
