A joint investigation between Bracebridge OPP and Toronto Police, related to a shooting in a Toronto Library earlier this month, has resulted in three men and one woman arrested and charged with multiple weapons offences.
The OPP Tactical and Rescue Unit conducted the raid on Fraserburg Road in Bracebridge on Saturday arresting the suspect in the Toronto shooting, a Toronto man and two Bracebridge residents.
Police also found a loaded 9mm handgun. a .22 calibre handgun, .22 calibre rifle and a 12 gauge shotgun during the bust.
Cocaine and a large quantity of Canadian cash were also seized.
Already facing numerous charges from the Toronto Police Service in relation to the early February shooting, 20-year-old Nathaniel White of Toronto is also charged with:
- Four counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
- Two counts of Possession of Unauthorized Firearm
- Possession of a Restricted Firearm
- Breach of a Peace Bond
Also arrested and facing numerous weapons charges are 23-year-old Kaitlyn Brooks and 30-year-old Blaine Roper, both of Bracebridge.
Another Toronto man, 25-year-old Brandon Anthony Howell was arrested at the scene is facing multiple weapons-related charges, a charge of possessing cocaine, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
All four are in custody and will appear for a bailing hearing in Bracebridge court on Monday,
