A Sudbury man and woman are facing numerous charges after being stopped on Highway 69 in The Archipelago.

West Parry Sound OPP says an officer on general patrol on the highway spotted a car at around 1:00 am early Friday morning weaving on the road and pulled the car over.

An investigation by the officer resulted in the discovery of what is suspected to be cocaine worth a street value of $10,000.

Charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, obstructing a peace officer, and failing to comply with Recognizance is 33-year-old Nathaniel Francique of Sudbury.

He remains in custody and is scheduled for Parry Sound court on March 21st.

Police also charged 32-year-old Melanie Nabigon of Sudbury with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

She was released on a Promise to Appear and is set to appear in Parry Sound court on April 18th.
