Staying put at an intersection has a Parry Sound woman facing multiple alcohol-related charges.
West Parry Sound OPP says it spotted the woman leaving her parking spot on Tuesday at around 11:00 am on Bay Street in Parry Sound and stop for a red light as she approached the intersection.
When the light turned green, the car didn’t move, causing the officer to conduct a traffic stop.
Once pulled over, police determined the driver had been drinking.
Charged with impaired driving, driving while impaired with over 80mg blood/alcohol, and driving with above a zero blood alcohol level as a Novice driver is Shelby Campbell.
Shelby’s car that she was driving was impounded for seven days.
She was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in Parry Sound court on March 21st, 2019.
This was the ninth impaired driving arrest for West Parry Sound Detachment of 2019.
