A late night cruise on Highway 69 didn’t turn out so well for a North York man.
West Parry Sound OPP says officers patrolling the highway spotted the northbound car in The Archipelago late Thursday night.
The officers found the car to be going over 50km/h over the posted speed limit, qualifying the driver under the ‘Stunt Driving’ category.
Police charged 22-year-old Hongliang Li with ‘Race a Motor Vehicle-Excessive Speed’.
Li’s licence was suspended and the car he was driving impounded for seven days.
He was the ninth driver charged with stunt driving by the West Parry Sound detachment so far this year.
Li is set to appear in Parry Sound court on April 9th.
