UPDATE: Don’t forget tonight’s screening of “The Woman Who Loves Giraffes” at Trestle Brewing starting at 7:00 pm.
The Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve series, ‘Films That Makes You Think’ returns Tuesday at Trestle Brewing with the screening of ‘The Woman Who Loves Giraffes’.
It’s the story about 23-year-old Canadian biologist Innis Dagg who, in 1956 travelled alone to South Africa to become the first person to study animal behaviour in the wild on that continent.
As the movie points out, this all happened four years before Jane Goodall ‘ventured into the world of chimpanzees’ and seven years before Diane Fossey began her work with mountain gorillas.
Now in its 10th season, the ‘Films That Make You Think’ series features evocative films that get the intellectual juices flowing.
Next week’s screening takes place Tuesday, March 12th at Trestle Brewing at 9 Great North Road in Parry Sound.
The film begins at 7:00 pm and organizers suggest an admission donation of $10 for adults and $7 for seniors and students.
