Police are continuing their investigation into a possible drug overdose at a community luncheon in Whitestone.

West Parry Sound OPP says a number of people attending the luncheon experienced dry mouth, dizziness, and disorientation with some experiencing nausea and vomiting.

After speaking to members that attended luncheon, police determined only those that ate a chocolate cake/brownie experienced the symptoms.

Police suspect the chocolate brownies were infused with cannabis and report at this time, they have no further information that any persons from the event suffered any serious or lasting effects from eating the brownies.
