The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is advising that it is RECALLING Janes brand Pub Style Chicken Nuggets from Sofina Foods Inc. due to possible Salmonella contamination.

The agency warns that you should not eat the ‘Pub Style – Chicken Nuggets – Breaded Chicken Cutlettes – Uncooked 800g’ with a best before date of 2019 DE 15 and UPC 0 69299 12490 3.

The CFIA suggests that if you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, call your doctor.

Check to see if you have recalled products in your home.

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

The agency also advises food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.

“Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis”.
