This week is your opportunity to participate in Parry Sound’s “Pitch-In Week”, a movement of spring clean-ups of communities across the country.
Pitch-In Week is a Canada-wide program put together by Pitch-In Canada, a not for profit charitable environmental organization “dedicated to the preservation and sustainable growth of natural ecosystems and communities”.
Pitch-In Canada says its organization “represents hard-working Canadian volunteers and consumers who care about making environmental change in their communities nationwide, for future generations”.
In town, Pitch-in and pick up trash in your neighbourhood, around your business, at the school, or your favourite park or trail.
The Town of Parry Sound will give you the gloves and bags to do it, and they will even come and pick up your full bags.
Email the Community Recreation Programs Coordinator Brad Weiler or call him at 705-746-2701 ext. 201 to register your project, and to receive free gloves and trash bags.
Pitch-In Week begins Monday, April 22nd and continues into Monday, April 29th.
