It may have been a rainy day Wednesday in Parry Sound, but that didn’t prevent the Community Living Parry Sound flag raising ceremony from happening.
Parry Sound Town Council has proclaimed May as Community Living Month and thanks to the ingenuity of Parry Sound staff, the ceremony was able to carry on inside the Council Chambers.
Those in attendance were welcomed by CLPS Director of Support Services and Parry Sound Town Councillor Brad Horne along with Parry Sound Town Councillor Roger Burden.
CLPS Executive Director Jo-Anne Demick announced the proclamation followed by the flag being piped in by West Parry Sound Health Centre CEO Donald Sanderson.
Community Living Parry Sound is celebrating its 57th year of service in the region.
