High school students from the Near North District School Board, Trillium Lakelands District School Board along with the Simcoe District and Catholic Muskoka Boards will have the unique opportunity to get a glimpse of a STEM career path when they participate at the upcoming Technology Expo.

STEM or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math represents the most cutting-edge industries that are inspiring, challenging, and represent the future of Canadian employment.

INSPIRE Tech Canada in partnership with the West Parry Sound Economic Development collaborative will be hosting the 2nd Annual Spring Technology Expo at the Stockey Centre in Parry Sound on Friday, May 31st.

The one-day event that will deliver High Impact presentations from leading Industry Experts and Post-Secondary Institutions; promoting the importance of STEM.

All are welcome to the event.

Inspire Tech Canada Corp. is a Parry Sound, Ontario based not for profit organization that supports youth on their STEM path so they can be future and workforce ready.

“After the overwhelming success of the Robotics Demo last November at the Bobby Orr Centre, we are thrilled to continue the movement towards S.T.E.M. and coding course curriculum in our High schools”, said Glen Barnden, West Parry Sound regional Economic Development Officer.

“We look forward to the potential to continue classes in Canadore College ultimately providing highly skilled local labour for our growing manufacturing sector. Opportunity is the key”, added Barnden, “sustainability and growth of our local businesses is the goal.”
